After my convoluted reasoning for the last piece, this will be refreshing. This response fits squarely under
ethics and social responsibility because that is simply what it is about. The offloading of US labor is a method
of economic repression of weaker countries; not very socially responisible, eh?

Imperialism Response to Nikki

I totally agree. I said this in class, but I'll say it
again. When Microsoft built the Xbox, they didn't do the
manufacturing themselves. Instead, they offloaded the
work to a company called Flextronics. Well, Flextronics
has many manufacturing plants, but the one the Xbox was
made in is in Hungary. Why in Hungary? Because you can
pay workers 90 cents an hour there. So that's why my
brother paid $199 for our Xbox.

I was guilt free about playing Unreal Championship on
our Xbox until I learned where is was manufactured. I
still play, but I can say that I would have personally
paid the difference in price for the fair treatment of
Hungary's labor force.
