melamine

The mystery molecule of the week is 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine.
It is used in the synthesis of melamine resins.

Furthermore, 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triamine is a high-volume chemical used in plywood and paperboard manufacturing, or in a mixture of chemicals, as an adhesive resine. It is used in paper and pulp manufacturing as an impregnation agent and as an insolubilizer. It is also used in the textile industry as an impregnation agent.
