Reader Response Paper Schlain

Why would some “women’s ways of knowing” be a threat to
traditional ways of knowing that would bring about a witch-hunt?

This article is very dramatic and very grotesque.  There are some very expressive word that really give you a picture of what they are talking about.  I think that
the reason that some of women’s knowing can be a threat is because the government does not want them to practice devilish things that would destroy all morals and
ways of live.  As it seems to me witch craft is from the devil and when you practice witch craft I think that the devil gives you the power to perform such things.  As
the article continues about witch craft and that only women practice it, I believe that witch craft can be done from anyone but mainly women do it because I think it is a spiritual thing.  And the reason that it is a threat to the ways of knowing is because they only practice bad things.  I don’t think that if people started helping out everyone else with what ever they could that the government would intervene and stop them.  But when you are doing a devilish thing it is not quite pleasant.  I think that the government did a good thing by destroying the witches that practice witchcraft, because witchcraft destroys all kinds of good things.  First of all it destroys all morals.  Witchcraft is a sort of power that comes over you but instead of practicing good things you practice bad things.  That is why it comes from the devil.  I mean when you have the power to make people sick, and ill, and kill livestock and stuff like that who would actually want you around.  I think that is why they are a threat to the traditional way of knowing.
