Thesis Research: I am currently investigating the invasion of S. quoianum in Coos Bay, OR.

Green Crab Project: Assisted Dr. Sylvia Yamada at Oregon State University with her studies of the distribution and life history characteristics of the invasive European green crab on the Oregon Coast. As a senior thesis, I compared the consumption rates and claw characteristics of the green crab and native Dungeness crab.

Assisted the laboratory of Professor David Lodge with a variety of invasion biology and aquatic ecology projects including: Ecosystem Impacts of the Invasive Rusty Crayfish, Zebra mussel dispersal, dessication resistance in aquatic plants and much more.

Biofouling Project: Assisted Dr. Geoff Swain and Chris Kavanaugh at the Florida Institute of Technology with studies examining the effects of fouling-release coatings on biological fouling organisms. As a independent project, I examined the effect of RTV-11 silicone coating thickness on the adhesion strength of fouling organisms.
