             Fashion is an influential aspect of any culture.  Because the cultures of many countries in Asia are so diverse, its fashion is equally divergent.  Tradition and ethnicity are just a few of the many things that fashion represents in a nation.  Therefore, we think that it's important to create a web site about fashion in Asia to promote its diversity.
 

The choice to create web pages about the fashion in Indonesia, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam were made very deliberately.  These particular countries are not as well known as other Asian countries, such as China, Japan, and Korea, so we feel that it is important to share information about the fashion of these countries to promote a better public understanding.  Also, we each have personal connection to the country we chose and used this opportunity to further explore our own heritage.
