PSU Student/Alumni Surveys

The PSU Office of Institutional Research (OIRP)
conducts periodic surveys of PSU students and
alumni.  The files available to download titles
"psu..." are data files (SPSS) for those surveys.

The title of the file tells you if the survey is
a survey of students or of alumni.  For further
information go to the OIRP web site:

The surveys of PSU alumni are usually done for alumni
who graduated 2-3 years earlier.  For example, the
survey done in 2000 of PSU graduates was done for
alumni who graduated in 1997-1998.

This was a survey of freshman and senior students
done at PSU as part of the National Survey of Student
Engagement (NSSE).  The NSSE assesses the institutional
learning environment for undergraduates. In order to
represent students at the early and late stages of their
college careers, the survey sample at each participating
school included both first-year students and seniors. PSU
participated in the NSSE during winter and spring of 2001.
