        (_/ (_| (__/        The study is the Western Electric study
                            begun in 1957 to study factors related to
the incidence of heart disease in men who were initially disease-free.
Participants were selected through random sampling of men who were 40-55
years old and employed at the Western Electric Co. in Chicago.  The study
is described in O. Paul et al., "A Longitudinal Study of Coronary Heart
Disease," Circulation, vol. 28 (1963), 20-31.  The 240 cases in this
dataset are a sample drawn from the original 5,397 participants.
