The Variety of Human Experience

"Students will enhance their appreciation for and understanding of the rich complexity of the human experience through the study of differences in ethnic and cultural perspectives, class, race, gender, sexual orientation, and ability"

We express our ideas and emotions through our work. As time passes, we gain more knowledge and are able to use this information in our daily lives. We experience situations that help us learn more about other cultures. We also keep in mind that certain designs might be offensive or uncomfortable for some people. What some may see certain items as simple objects others may see as their greatest possessions. We all have different tastes and will buy or admire work that fulfills these tastes.

Below is a link to a paper where I wrote on how renaissance architects and modern architects are not the same. I believe this work helped me achieve my goal of human experience by informing me on how things were done different in the past and how designers had to overcome obstacles without the help of electronics or heavy machinery. The designers back then had different visions from modern designers and in some way influenced how modern designers did their work. We can all learn from the past to make things better in the future.
