"Students will learn various modes of inquiry through interdisciplinary curricula 'problem-posing, investigating, conceptualizing' in order to become active, self-motivated, and empowered learners"
With more situations and jobs we do, the more we can critically think. Certain work requires more critical thinking such as term papers and should do the work as best as possible. We should not take this work lightly and understand that it can affect our overall progress in that situation. I see myself becoming a critical thinker by doing more work relating to the topic I am focused on. I feel as my reading skills have gone down a bit. I have not done outside reading from that assigned and am missing out on work that can help me improve my writing. I also understand that the more reliable information we give to support our ideas the stronger our essay will be. I would prefer to use journal articles as a source than any old website because the article is more credible. The work we have done in class has allowed me to expand the resources I have to write an essay. For example, I had to do various things to ensure I did a good job with my Katrina paper. I had to make sure my sources were reliable and make the reader understand what my thesis was and was able to give information to back it up.
Below is a link to an assignment I feel helped me achieve my goal of critical thinking where I designed my idea of the perfect ear bud headphones. I had to reflect what the necessities were with a good headphone such as good volume, conformability and durability to insure my design would actually be bought by the public. I collected data, read reviews, and made observations to help me have a well done project. The assignment helped me understand how things are designed and advertised so that the public is able to buy a product they are happy with.
