Oil on cardboard | 9" x 10"

Quick oil study (after Toulouse-Lautrec) on unsized cardboard, meaning directly applied without gesso over the board to protect from the oils, so this painting will completely disintegrate in a few months.

Oil on canvas | 16" x 20"

Self-portrait inspired by Picasso's own from the Blue Period (click to view). This is a bad photo, but nevertheless generally depicts my state during winter in New York.

Acrylic on canvas | 48" x 48"

Final project. Abstract brushstroke over a semi-figurative scene, outlined in parts with black pen and brush.

Oil on cardboard | 8" x 14"

Portrait of Jeff Lee on cardboard sized with green acrylic. Fortunately this one will not disintegrate like the last cardboard piece, and will last many years in Jeff's greasy hands. Just kidding, about the hands.

Oil on canvas | 11" x 14"

Evan posed for this quick portrait while I tried to show him the oil technique that I use. The background proved to be somewhat of an issue, though, finally settling on rubbed-down sienna.

Oil on canvas baord | 9" x 12"

Portrait of my friend Jake, based on several photos with combined features, on orange acrylic underlayer. White spots are from camera failure.
