FIBONACCI
AND LUCAS SEQUENCES
in Microsoft Excel!!!
The Fibonacci and Lucas Sequences are generated by a recursive relationship
(the numbers generated are based on
previously generated numbers within the sequence). In the Microsoft
Excel file I have provided, it is my goal for you
to be able to answer the following questions:
1. What is the difference
between the Fibonacci Sequence and the Lucas Sequence?
2. What are some similarities between the two sequences?
3. What are some patterns found in Fibonacci numbers/Lucas number?
4. What do you notice in the ratio of consecuative numbers in both sequences?
5. What do you find interesting with multiples within the Fibonacci/Lucas
sequences?
6. How can you manipulate the sequences, and what do you notice in
my exploration?
