WELCOME TO SARAH'S TOOL BOX!

This site is for geometry sketch pad users; in this site you can borrow some geometrical constructions that I made tools for and you can use them on your own computer.  Choose from the list below to select  what kind of construction you are interested in.  Pick a construction and you can see the construction before you download it.

Triangles
Isosceles Triangle
An isosceles triangle is a triangle in which two sides are equal.
This construction begins with selecting the length of the base and then adjusting the height.

Equilateral Triangle
An equilateral triangle is a triangle with three equal sides.

Polygons

Octagon
An eight sided figure (equal sides).
Choose the length of a side and this construction will give you the octagon.
octagon
Hexagon
This is a six-sided polygon.
For this construction you actually pick the length from the center to a vertex and it will give you a six sided polygon.

Four Sided Figures
Square
A four sided figure with each corner a 90 degree angle.
Pick the length of one side and you this construction will give you a square.

square
Rectangle
This four sided figure has opposing sides of equal length and 90 degree angles.
This construction starts by drawing out the length of the diagonal and then adjusting the lengths of the sides as desired.
rectangle
Parallelogram
A parallelogram has opposing sides of equal lengths that are parallel to each other.
In this construction you are free to adjust the lencth of the base and the diagonal.

Circles and Lines

Circle given Circumference
Given the length of a line, this construction will make a circle using that length as its circomference.
circle given circumference
Locus of Points Equidistant from a given Point and a Given Circle
In this consturction you construct of circle and a point separate from the circle.
You are then free to move a point about the circle and it will trace the points that are equidistant from that point on the circle and the other point that you picked.
equidistance
Trisection of a Line Segment
You draw out a line and this construction will trisect it for you.
