Welcome to Jack Semura's home page...

Dr. Jack Semura works in the Physics Department at Portland State University.  He also teaches with the Science Cornerstone Program at Portland State University, works with the Environmental Sciences and Resources Ph.D. Program, and is an associate with the Science Integration Institute.

His research interests are in statistical physics, including complex systems,  maximum entropy methods, statistical distributions, generalized thermodynamics, biological statistical physics, connectivity, phase transitions, nucleation, evolutionary computation, phase transitions, and transient heat transfer in cryogenic liquids.
