Founded in 1991, Party in the Park is the biggest recruitment event at Portland State University and is one of the most celebrated traditional events on campus. A tradition on campus for 18 years, Party in the Park draws thousands of new PSU students to the Park Blocks for a day of free food, entertainment, networking, and information about campus activities. Opportunities for students to get involved range from multicultural student groups like the NAACP and Kaibigan: Filipino American Student Association to business groups like the American Marketing Student Association to information about employment, scholarships, tutoring, and many other services. The purpose of Party in the Park is to promote involvement in student activities, leadership, and organizations.
