Office Assistant Job Description
- 12-15 hours/week
- $8.50/hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open and close the front office and manage the front desk between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
- Assist students regularly, on the phone and in person, with all aspects of SALP. Make referrals to appropriate areas as necessary. Be knowledgeable of programs regarding student organizations, campus events, scheduling, and advisor contact information.
- Serve as a liaison between SALP staff, student groups, and the academic community.
- Responsible for projects assigned by the Office Coordinator.
- Follow-up with student organizations on overdue equipment and keys
- Develop working knowledge of resources available to student groups.
- Perform various office duties including but not limited to maintaining paper and toner supply for copier, printers and fax machine, ordering office supplies as necessary, scheduling display case use, equipment checkout, and meetings for staff members, check-out keys and maintain key list, distribute mail to student organizations, office staff, and deliver intercampus mail when needed.
- Maintain SALP's 14 bulletin boards by removing outdated flyers and those that have not been approved.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
