Office of the Dean of Students Leadership Practicum
Students at Portland State University participate in an array of employment, service, teaching, and leadership opportunities that enhance learning. Leadership Practicum Credit is a way to formally engage in the study of leadership and is a means for students' transcripts to reflect co-curricular experience learning.
Students are able to get credit for their work as student leaders. You can choose to get one to three credits. The number of credits is determined by how many hours a week on average you work for the term (one credit for every four hours of work). You may also choose to get a notation on your transcript which reads "Leadership Practicum". This option allows you to document the valuable work you have done on your transcript, but you don't have to pay for the credit.
If you are interested in receiving Leadership Credit, please fill out this form:
http://survey.oit.pdx.edu/ss/wsb.dll/s/2bfgb07 by the Friday before the first week of the
term.
