This assignment page will also be mailed to your email address. Please check that your colleagues also received it on their squirrelly email accounts.
Course assessment:
This is non-graded, but you must submit one if you want your grade released early. Put "ESM 342 course assessment" in the subject line and I won't read it until after I send in your grade.
Please provide helpful suggestions for improving the class for next time (summer 2011).
- Just because we did something right, doesn't mean we know it. Please tell us what aspects of the workshops worked just as presented.
- Some stuff can always be improved. Please tell us what could have been more valuable to you if presented differently or allowed more time.
- Did you think you had the right background for this course? What preparation might you have benefited from? How could we help future students like you to get more out of the course?
- What parts could have been skipped, de-emphasized, or otherwise changed?
- What would you have like to see added?
- Did you enjoy the presentations? Do you have any suggestions for changing format for those?
- Details:
- Did the Saturday morning shots work for you?
- I know the grading wasn't clear, because we were going through it for the first time, but what would you have like to see as graded assignments?
- Was the "field trip" to the suppliers worthwhile?
Your project evaluation:
This assignment is graded. It allows you to amplify or correct some of the points that were made in your presentation and relate what you learded to the other projects.
- Project title
- Summary of the presentation (1 or 2 paragraphs)
- Technical issues that you solved or were still un-resolved
- Final recommendation for your project (go ahead, more research, etc.)
- Comparison of your project to other projects
- what advice or ideas you could offer them
- what you learned from them
