What's Going on Here?

I'm the official computer guy ("Information Technology Consultant II") at the Graduate School of Education at Portland State University.

I am the IT support contact and Windows and Mac lab administrator for the school.

I've worked in the School of Education since July 2007.

My life-long love-affair with detailed illustrations of fictional pigs and their vacations began in the 1970s with Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things That Go. And I still keep a look out for Goldbug on occasion.

I previously worked with the Computer Action Team (the CAT) at the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at PSU.
I'm from Anchorage Alaska. I got my BA in English, then spent two years doing environmental restoration in the Americorps in rural Washington and the Columbia River Gorge. After living in the Gorge for five years, I came to Portland to study technical communication and computer information systems and, eventually, computer science.

You're missing out on the best thing on the web if you're not using Firefox's quick-search feature to search Wikipedia for whatever topic you're curious about at the moment. For instance, open an empty tab in Firefox and type "wp PSU" in the address bar to see a page on the various meanings of PSU.
