MS-level:  Electron optics

Simulation and analysis  of electron optical lenses using Mathlab, Mathematica and SIMION 7.0.
Goal: Learn a variety of mathematical techniques to understand ongoing work in the electron-optical lab.




MS-level:  Microscopy in biophysics applications

Use photoemission microscopes to obtain photoemission images of soft matter such as virus, DNA, membranes etc. at ultra-high resolution (NSF-supported).
