I. Introduction

The relationship between, art, music and history.

Thesis: The government did not allow us to listen or sings the Soft Music of 1975 to 1979. It was not right at all because we all should know what everything details

that happened in the pass. We should let everyone study our own history just like American History.

II. Body

History:

Specifically about Cambodian war during 1975-1979. The Khmer Rough (our emperies) did not allow us to read and write.  So we all express our feeling through

the music.

Music:

Radio and the music were not allowed. People have no freedom of listening.  They all were just listening to Khmer Rough people being ruling us.

Art:

In our history through out many generations, we love the art forms.  Our art forms were based on the dance.  The dances are related to the music, but nowadays the

government still allows us to use the songs of the dance.  They thought that is our traditional.

Government:

The government did not allow us to listen to the Soft Music today because during the Khmer Rough time, they were treated us so bad.  They were too shellfish, they

think only to themselves only.  They had the power over everything, music, art and freedom. But then went we got independent from Khmer Rough, they pretending

that they tried so hard to get this independent for our country.  The true is they have two faces.  When we were in a bad time, they tried to put us even more down.

When we got independent, they wanted us to think that because of them, that is why we could be free.

Money: Rise up too high and keep produce more and more

 Karaoke: close down – good thing, but people still open it.

 Clean up the city: But no one follows, through stuff away

 Traffic: No one follow rich people would go.

III. Conclusion

I hope that in the future, the government will open up the study of Cambodian history in Cambodia.  If I was to find this kind of information in Cambodia, I would

not find anything about it because it would be none of it that is allow in a library or bookstore.  But here in America, I could find anything that I want to find, so I

wish Cambodia government should look what of a way to rule the country.  I don’t want to make Cambodian government look bad, but I just want to say what it is

true
