Letter of Reflection

Freshman Inquiry is the hardest class that I have taken.
It requires so much knowledge in grammar and organizational structures.
It is even more difficult for me because English is my second language.
I always try to push myself harder to read and do what has to be done.
Some times I get frustrated because there are many essays that always due
in almost every class. But then, I realize that is how college processes,
and how to organize my time and plans in order to complete my assignments..
One more thing, this class has taught me more in understanding what the
assignments really mean. For the first couple weeks of school, all of my
assignments that I did were poor. That was because I did not really understand
what they tried to ask. Then there are grammatical errors, which make my
grade a letter grade down. I try my best to revise, but then my grades
show C or C-. I was ashamed of myself because I did not know how to use
the right words or the different tenses. Sometimes I don’t know how to
put my essay to where it should be under, introduction, body or conclusion.
Then I start to talk to Jamie, Rebecca and the Writing Center as my sources.
They gave me feedback, and then as the term goes along, my grade had been
improved from C- to an A. I have special thanks to Jamie, Rebecca and the
Writing Center people for their assistance.
For my response paper, I had a difficult time understanding the materials
because it was a hard article. It included a lot of vocabulary that I never
heard before. I put my best effort into it, but then what I got back is
only a check. I was kind of disappointed of myself for taking way too much
time to understand the materials and plus, I did not know how to put things
in words to make a good essay. I guess most of the time, I just have to
understand what it really means, but then when I put my words into the
essay, and it makes the essay so lame.
From the experience that I had from this class, I think I should get at
least a B. because I spend a lot of time to read, research, and understand
the materials. One of the most important things is that I ask questions
to many people in order for me to understand more. No matter how many essays
I have to write, I try to finish everything on time.
