What connects our group’s four ‘isms?

Our
group’s four ‘isms are Transcendentalism, Dualism, Logocentrism and Pluralism.
The most obvious connection is that these are all different types of philosophies.
All of these philosophies are complex, which is why no one in our group
has had an easy time defining them, let alone trying to understand what
the connecti9on is between all four.
Pluralism
and Transcendentalism both believed in equal opportunities for women and
minorities and both these movements began in the nineteenth century. Transcendentalism
took a more spiritual and literary leap and Pluralism taking a more political
leap, both dealing with aspects of religion.
Dualism and Logocentrism
both examine the mind and its’ complications these ‘isms focus on the battle
between the mind and the body, Dualism looking at the balance between the
two and Logocentrism feeling frustrated that the body does not properly
communicate the mind.
Still
the most prominent connection between all of these isms is their extreme
complexity. All of these philosophies have been around for at least
one hundredn and fifty years and books that attempt to break down and define
each o them are still being written today.
