PROJECT
The Yung Wing Project has existed since 2006. It was
started by Cassandra Bates, a student at Portland
State University in Portland, Oregon. She developed
the website initially to host her transcription of
Yung Wing's hard-to-find, yet freely available
memoir (My
Life in China and America). The
website has grown to contain a variety of public
domain texts, visual material and information on the
subject.
