PoE Minature Connector Specification

The RJ-45 connector is just too big for modern devices such as tablet computers.
Also, when designing a new PoE Minature Connector, it should be rated for higher current levels to accommodate higher power PoE devices.
Linear Technologh (linear.com) is currently shipping PoE standard compatible (for standard PoE power levels)

Eventually, higher power levels will become standard, too.
