• Synthesis of highly potent pharmaceuticals that normalize heart arrhythmias via a redox mechanism.  Professor Jonathan Abramson at Portland State University.

• Chemosensors and chemodosimeters for the detection of biologically relevant amino thiols.  Professor Xiaofeng Yang at Northwest University, Xi'an, P.R. China, and Professor Cai-Xia Yin at Shanxi University, Taiyuan, China.

• Detection of biomarkers for the early detection of ovarian cancer.  Dr. Richard G. Moore at the University of Rochester Medical Center, School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester, New York.

The Gray Coats Research Group is a multi-disciplinary team of researchers comprised of some of the most unique and promising scientists from Portland State University. They are specialists in research planning and development, logistics, data collection, and critical analysis that support the Strongin Group and other collaborators on a diversity of research projects at Portland State University.
