Course Material

The required textbook for this course is:

 

Blanchard, Olivier. Macroeconomics 5th or 4th Edition (Prentice-Hall, 2008)

 

This textbook is available at PSU’s Bookstore http://www.psubookstore.com/Textbooks/index.html .

Previous editions are acceptable. However, keep in mind that the page numbers may not be the same.

 

If you want to brush up on your knowledge of principle macroeconomics, you may refer to

 

Baumol, William J. and Alan S. Blinder, Macroeconomics: Principles and Policy, 10th edition (or any earlier edition).  This textbook is available at PSU library.

 

Other reading materials such as journal and magazine articles are occasionally distributed in class or available on this page.

 

It is suggested that students develop the habit of reading newspapers and journals such as The NY Times, The Financial Times, and The Economist.
