COURSE OBJECTIVES:

ATTENDANCE:  Attendance is very important. If you do not come to class, it will affect
your grade.  Get the telephone number of a classmate who can help you with homework if
you are absent.

GRADES:

Attendance can affect your final grade. Be sure you understand how I give grades in letters and percentages. Below seventy percent is not passing.

I will not take late homework. If you are absent, bring your homework with you when you return to class. Also, I will not give make-up tests or quizzes. If you are absent, you will get a zero.

This is how I will calculate your final grade:
30%   Improvement based on announced in-class practice tests (3*), including final test
10%   Quizzes (announced and unannounced) and  participation
          60%  Portfolio (including homework)
*Note:  Missing any one of the in-class practice tests can seriously affect your grade.
