Other materials: 
      A good English-English dictionary (such as Longman's)
      File folders or binders to organize handouts and other class materials
      A folder for your independent reading journal
      A folder or binder for new vocabulary
      Index cards (3" by 5") for vocabulary


ATTENDANCE:  Attendance is very important. If you do not come to class, it will affect your grade.  Get the telephone number of a classmate who can help you with homework if you are absent.

GRADES:  
      * Attendance can affect your final grade. Be sure you understand how.
      * I give grades in letters and percentages. Below seventy percent is not passing.
      * I will not take late homework. If you are absent, bring your homework with you when          you return to class.
      * I will not give make-up tests or quizzes. If you are absent, you will get a zero.
