This course is offered on a pass/no pass basis.  In order to pass, you must not be absent for more than four hours, or two class meetings.  Homework is not required, but if you wish to improve your speed and accuracy significantly, you should  practice outside of class.

The typing software that we are using in this class is located in 437 Neuberger Hall, and the Learning Center.  Be sure to remember the user ID that the teacher gives you.  This will be yours to keep until the end of summer 2002, so you may continue to practice after the term ends.

The main purpose of this class is for you to improve your speed and accuracy in typing.  However, in order to be successful in university classes, you must also know some basic word processing skills.  These are listed on a separate page.  Be sure to tell the teacher if you would like to learn any of these skills.

Grading: This course is graded A - F.  A minimum passing grade is C-, or 70%.  Grading is based on attendance and participation.
