Inquiry and Critical Thinking

In my mentor session I wrote a  journal on the movie Waco and I see it as a piece of writing that is very problem posing and shows self motivation. As with all my work my aim for this assignment was to  really speak my mind as much as possible and introduce new ideas that have  risen  or contemplated in my mind. I took the journal as an opportunity to show what I thought about good/bad, death, murder, American troops, the president, and about people and  how they truly feel about suffering.

As I mentioned before but will now elaborate, the goals that this journal met in ac accordance with Inquiry and Critical Thinking. I went deeper into the subject than probably expected and truly went outside and used the movie and the journal not as a source but more as a reference or a guide that led to my true feelings and thoughts. Another goal that the journal addresses is self motivation and empowerment. I believe it shows through here. It illustrates how I am not simply trying to get through the assignment but am self motivated to go further and really explore the elements of the subject. In return I gain self empowerment in learning because of the fact that I know there is always other view, truths, and  sides to something and that  just because everyone says your wrong  doesn’t mean you are, thank you Christopher Columbus.

If I was able to change the journal I would not make it so repetitive and I would go more in depth about the subject. I have developed the theory, idea, whatever you want to call it, further and so I have a better  understanding now and I feel I could explain it wiser now. But none o f my ideas and comments would change the same value structure would remain intact. This journal was really aimed at everyone who could read and understand it because I really belief I am correct, as far as my argument goes.

Well the paradoxes that I found in class as well as the contradictions with class discussions are present in the journal.
