This course has a theoretical and software component: The theory component applies the functional analysis tools discussed in the companion course in the previous term and applies it to theory of finite elements and preconditioners. The software component is aimed at introducing students to various finite element codes in multiple platforms and languages.

Grades will be assigned based on projects.
