Confidence Interval and Hypothesis Test of the Mean

Two forms of statistical inference: CI and HT

• DO: Data tab —> Data Analysis (ToolPak installed)
• Choose Descriptive Statistics
• What Excel labels the Confidence Level is, instead, the Margin of Error for that confidence level
• To compute the confidence interval, add and subtract the Margin of Error to and from the Sample Mean, or just use the provided Excel template
• To compute the hypothesis test, best to use the provided Excel template
