ALERT (9 October): We have had reports of a Windows-only virus (W97M/Marker) in the .doc file that describes the project. Replacement files are being uploaded. If that doesn't work, paper copies of the project assignment will be distributed in class. Deadlines for the project will be extended. The original file appears to be OK for Mac users. Purposes: The projects encourage you to use the language more independently and creatively, and to customize your experience of the language and culture to your own interests, knowledge and circumstances. The specific purposes of this particular project are listed in the project description.
