Elise Furlan is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Portland, Oregon. Her background in drawing and painting began with copying cartoon characters from newspaper comic strips and TV shows as a kid. Those influences can still be seen today through hand-done elements in her design work and through her light-hearted illustrations. She currently works for the weekly newspaper at Portland State University, and interns for Ecotrust. Outside of design she enjoys running, eating cheeseburgers, and (still) reading comics.
