The Intern Files - Introduction

A year or so after the Preventers were founded, a training program was put in place for the many people who began to apply for Preventer positions. A person went through six months to two years of training depending on their skill levels and then was assigned to work as an intern. This weeded out many of those who were just applying because they wanted glory.

The interns became a very important part of the Preventers. If you wanted to know who had what assignments or where someone was, you asked an intern. They heard and saw just about everything. Traditions formed. For instance, interns would pick a codename at the beginning of their internship. An intern knew they had been promoted to full Preventer status when their paychecks began to carry their codename.

Every intern was paired with a partner similar to how the Preventers worked. Pairings were often changed until a pair with a good partnership formed. Some interns went through seven to eight partners while others only needed one. These are the stories of some of the interns that worked at Preventer HQ.
