I’m going to cover four
major areas in this workshop. We will briefly talk about the functions of a
syllabus and the elements to include in a syllabus.
We will spend the bulk of
our time today talking about the latter two points:
Relating your syllabus to
your teaching
And
Using your syllabus to
improve your teaching and your students’ learning
Both of these relate to
create a learner-centered (rather than a teacher centered) syllabus.
