Requirements:
Ø Problem Sets (25% of total grade) |
Ø
Midterm (25%) |
Ø Homework (25%) |
Ø
Final Exam (25%) |
Problem sets (distributed online a week before they
are due) and exams will be based on readings, lectures, and homework
exercises. Homeworks
(exercises from the book) will be assigned for each chapter and will be turned
in and graded for completion, not correctness, on the last day of the topic.
Homework will be gone over in class and should be completed by the first
day of the topic for best results. Late
problem sets will receive a 10% reduction.
Problem Sets will not be accepted
after the answers have been given out.
Your grade will suffer if you do not turn in all of the problem
sets/homework and do not attend class.
Late homework will be accepted up until the test for that section
(midterm/final) (only worth 50%) - they must be turned in by the last day of
the topic for full credit. Lectures will
be posted to website shortly before or after each class.
Info on H1N1 at PSU can be found here: http://www.shac.pdx.edu/. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is
critical that you come to class as scheduled.
To promote a healthy and safe environment, please do not come to class if
you are feeling ill. Email me beforehand
and we can make arrangements to deal with missing homeworks
etc.
