Dean Atkinson

Personal Details - Sorry they are so skimpy, I haven't had a chance to really devote much time to this.

My wife (Dr. Elizabeth Atkinson) is a professor at Linfield College. We have two sons, one in High School in Newberg and one starting at OIT in the Fall.

Since both of us are professors, you can guess that we like college. In fact, we met while we were both in graduate school in Chemistry at the University of Arizona. We both like teaching a lot (I've won four John Elliot Allen award for Outstanding Chemistry Teacher, which I am really proud of.) And we also like to work with students on research. I currently supervise (or collaborate with) one graduate student and three undergraduates. I'm also the coPI for the NSF-REU site associated with the CCAR.
