The PSU Portfolio describes how PSU is meeting its mission to "enhance the intellectual, social, cultural, and economic qualities of urban life." As an urban university, PSU has a strong commitment to student learning, research and discovery, assessment and improvement, diversity (on campus and in the curriculum), appropriate and innovative uses for technology, and connections to the community.
Each of the Portfolio's five themes give a distinct but interrelated view of PSU as a whole. Each also serves as a focus for discussion, analysis, and reflection among faculty, staff, students, and community members. In addition to the five major themes, the portfolio includes a section on vision and planning, and a template for our reaccreditation self-study report, which will be completed in 2005.
PSU is committed to a process of self-reflection as part of its short and long-term planning efforts. Each of the Portfolio's themes identify the rationale for PSU's activities in that area, a set of overarching goals, and examples of key activities.
The Portfolio is updated regularly to ensure that current information is available to the campus and the community.
