Hi everyone! This page will be dedicated to my 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo (951). She is in extremely excellent condition with shiny paint all around. No dings, no dents, no accidents. Perfect all around. She was purchased on March 28th, 2004 in Portland Oregon. I won't tell you how much I got it for but it was an excellent deal! I had considered many cars before, but once I laid my eyes on her it was like fate.

Amazingly my Accord only took four days to sell. This was perfect timing because the seller of 944 had just put it up for sale. I immediatly took this opportunity to go out to see it. Took me one hour to discuss over and I knew it was going to be mine. My next choice in car was the BMW 325is but decided that the 944 was more me. Besides, you see a 325 everywhere you look. It's not often you see a 944 Turbo on the street.

I will post updates as I continue to work on her more, adding upgrades, and maintaining. I will try to put up pictures and guides to how I did some of this stuff too.

Okay so new things will go on top now. Old stuff at bottom.

09/23/04 Well today was an uneventful day. Driving to the Nike Employee Store parking lot, some lady in a Volvo decides to back out of her parking space without looking and backs into me. AHHHHHHHH!!!! I scream of course because this thing is my life, pull the car over and jump out to inspect the damage. Next thing I know I am sprawled out on the ground gasping for air. Rapid heart beat, trouble breathing, what else could go wrong. Well, the lady at least was real nice and apoligized and all. Thank god she has insurance so it will get taken care of. It really wasn't even that bad. A nice dent on the rear passenger side fender. Oh man at the time it looked like a massive dent. Took it to Precision Auto Body (one of the best in Oregon) and preliminary estimate came out at jsut about $1000. Not as bad as I thought. Oh well. Sucky sucky day for me. Oh a good note, I bought a Momo MonteCarlo wheel and installed it later on today myself. I love the feel of the wheel and like how it puts my hands closer to the signals and wipers. OHHHHH! And I bought my Guru chips finally! Now just waiting for them to come in the mail. I will post new info once I get them installed and tested out.

4/09/04 - Some PUNK dinged my door today! Not big but noticable. If I find you your dead meat.

5/15/04 Just purchased central door locking systems and Viper 790xv alarm. Will get these installed soon hopefully.

5/16/04 Man today was a bad day. I spun a rod bearing. Looking at rebuilds now and everyone local wants an arm and two legs! Geez, this really sucks. I'm going to drain the oil and remove the oil pan on the weekend and see the extent of the damage. If I'm lucky I can replace just the rod bearing. I'll post up pics soon of this process.

5/23/04 Okay so I dumped the oil out into a large pan today and sifted it for flakes and metal shavings. Amazingly enough there was none! Well... that could be seen with the naked eye anyway. So I took the oil filter off next expecting to see some flakes in that but again, nothing. So all is going great so far. Now I'm really glad that when the car starting making noises I pulled over right away and had it towed home. Well, as reccomended by some people, I put in 6.8 quarts of SAE 50 Racing oil and started her up. The knock was loud at first but once the oil got through her system it went away. Now it's mostly gone but I'm not sure because there is still a tiny knocking. So I'm going to play it safe once again and call around to see how much it'll cost to just get the rod bearing replaced. Shouldn't be more then $300 max since the part is only $80. But that's another story. I'll put up updates once this gets resolved.

6/1/04 Okay so someone help me out here. As suggusted, I drained and checked the oil one more time. This time I let the car warm up for about 15 minutes so the oil was real hot. Strange thing is, the oil pressure gauge is pegged at 5 bar. Even at idle it remains at 5. When increasing throttle, the ticking, clicking noise increases and even at higher RPMs does the oil pressure not change. So I drained it anyway and again no shavings or metal flakes. This is making me thing the rod bearing it okay and it might be something else now. Actually kinda worries me more because now I DON'T know what it is. Just great. Any suggestions anyone? If not I'm just going to have to take it to a shop and have them look at it.

6/9/04 GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gave up on the car myself so I took it to MotorSports International over on Cornell. Some real nice people overe there, well they kept my car overnight and gave me a holla the next morning. Turns out, for some reason the oil filter was not getting enough oil to my car. So all they did was replace it and BAMMO! Perfectly running car. OMG What a releif that was. Bill turned out to be $8.90 for new filter and $70 for service. Well, that may seem like a lot for just a filter but damn was I happy. I was really thinking I'd have to do a whole engine rebuild. Man this was one of the happiest days of my life. YEAH!!!!!

9/5/04 Today I replaced all of the sunroof seals. Both seals on the removable sunroof and the one around the car. This process was actually very very easy. I thought it would be a lot more difficult.
