What is webmail.pdx.edu:
Webmail.pdx.edu is a web-based IMAP client for reading, sending, and manipulating email. Webmail.pdx.edu uses IMP designed by Horde.org. IMAP is a service for storing and reading mail from a mail server.

What is required to use WebMail:
The only thing that is required to use WebMail is a web browser and a connection to the Internet. Your browser MUST support cookies and javascript and have them both enabled. Netscape 4.x and above and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x and above will work just fine.

What are Mail Folders:
Mail Folders are where you can store previously read mail. If you leave this set to "mail/" then you can almost never go wrong. "Mail Folders" is an advanced option for people that do not store previously read mail in the default "mail/" folder.

Can I view MS Word attachments with Webmail:
PSU Webmail will allow you to view MS Word 8 documents (Office 97). All you have to do is click on the MS Word attachment link while you are viewing the message that contains the attachment. At this time you cannot read MS Word 7 documents or lower.

I can login to WebMail, but when I try to read a message I get logged out:
Your browser must support cookies to use WebMail. Cookies must also be enabled in your browser. See you browsers help section on how to enable cookies. Also see WebMail requirements for more requirements for using webmail.
