Ike

William "Ike" Eisenhauer is an adjunct assistant professor in the Systems Engineering, Mechanical & Materials Engineering, and Engineering and Technology Management departments at Portland State University. His research interests include:

  • Sustainable Quality Management Program Development

  • Shared Resource Constrained Data Envelope Analysis

  • Mathematical Education Development

  • Design of Experiments

  • Early Indian Mathematical Theory and Techniques

In addition to teaching, Ike is the acting Executive Director of the Office of High Reliability Systems and Consultation for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs - Veterans Health Administration. His work there is focused on the integration of Systems and Industrial Engineering into the improvement activities of the largest healthcare delivery system in the United States. Prior to joining the DVA, Ike held positions at Wells Fargo in Risk and Loss Management and Equity Operations. He is an industry consultant in the areas of healthcare systems engineering, risk and uncertainty management, executive decision making, and benchmarking. Ike is also the Healthcare Systems Engineering columnist for Industrial Engineering (a publication of the Institute of Industrial Engineers).
