Why would you use NETWORKS or NETJAWS (and not the SCM analysis program)?

- You have observation (SCM) data but you do NOT want to identify “coherent subgroups”; that is, you want to identify everybody who is connected to anyone reliably, but without concerns for “groupness”.

- You do NOT want to separate groups (i.e., you want to identify everybody’s connections without excluding multiple group overlap and without excluding people who are not members of coherent subgroups.

- You do not need group centrality indices or member centrality within groups

If you want Centrality indices for groups and/or individuals and have SCM data, you have to use Man-Chi Leung’s SCM analysis program.
