Listed below are just several of the many accommodations within a short walk or bus ride of the Symposium site. Remember that PSU is located in Fareless Square and there are free busses to and from campus every 5-10 minutes during most hours of the day.

 

 

Special Symposium Group Rate

 

Special Symposium rates are available at the Days Inn City Center, 1414 SW Sixth Ave, Portland, OR 97201, just a 6-minute walk from the PSU campus. Phone: 1-800-899-0248 Ext 278. Be sure to ask for the Olmsted Symposium rate, $59.00 single or double, which includes breakfast. Please make your reservations before March 28, 2003.

Hostels

 

Portland has two hostels, and the low-cost and international atmosphere of the hostel environment may appeal to some visitors.

 

Eastside Hostel: 3031 SE Hawthorne Blvd; #14 Bus runs every 15 minutes (or more frequently at peak hours) to Fareless Square / Bus Mall; or walk to PSU in 45-50 minutes.

 

Westside Hostel: 1818 NW Glisan St; Bus #17 or walk 12 blocks to Fareless Square / Bus Mall; or walk to PSU in about 25-30 minutes.
