STUDY ABROAD

ROSARIO, ARGENTINA
Join Professor Leopoldo Rodriguez (Portland
State University) in a study abroad program organized by AHA
International in coordination with the Universidad Nacional de Rosario.
The city of Rosario
is an important economic and cultural center of
Argentina. It is considered one of the best cities to live in the
country and has undergone rapid growth in the past five years. Located
on the shore of the Parana river, the city boasts a busy port, a
variety of entretainment, pedestrian streets with boutique shopping,
late XIX century architecture as well as art and history museums. The
central location within the country provide easy access to attractions
around Argentina including the Iguazu Waterfalls, Bariloche, Sierras de
Cordoba, Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires (only 200 miles to the South).
You will be able to choose from a variety of courses in the following
areas:
- Political Economy
- Human Rights
- Argentine History
- Argentine Literature and Art
- International Business
- Spansh Language Courses
Professor Leopoldo Rodriguez (Economics, Portland State
University) will offer the following courses:
Political
Economy of Latin American Development
Market Reforms, Democracy and Crises in Argentina
The program includes:
- College credit courses
- Excursions
- Housing and three meals per day (homestay)
- Books and course materials
- Local transportation pass (in Rosario)
- Medical insurance
- International Student ID
- On-site registration
- Predeparture and on-site support
The program fee is $7,053.00 for the Fall 2007. This does not
include transportation to and from Rosario and other personal expenses.
In most cases financial aid and a diversity of grants and loans can be
used towards covering the costs of the program. Consult the study
